Venue Details

The Nipmoose Farm, with its historic barns and panoramic vistas, offers multiple options for a wide variety of events.

Nipmoose Barns & Grounds

Perched on a hillside in the northeastern section of the Hudson River Valley, the historic barns and other buildings are surrounded by 123 acres of farm fields, woodlands, a stream and wetlands. The expansive views of an agricultural landscape can be enjoyed from both inside and outside the barns.

The Scottish Barn, German Barn and Corn Crib, which date from the 18th and 19th centuries, have been fully restored by skilled craftsmen. The barns provide an exceptional opportunity to survey the artistry of America’s early agricultural buildings.

Rental of the Nipmoose barns and grounds is seasonal, starting in mid-May and ending in mid-October. The rental season may be extended for small to moderate sized events.

Continue down this page for detailed information, including suggested uses, capacities and space specifications, for Nipmoose barns and grounds.

Historic Barns of Nipmoose is shown by appointment only.

The lower level of the German Barn is a spacious area for use as a gathering place or dressing area for the wedding party. Grounds + Gardens

The barns are situated centrally on a farm of 120 acres. Several acres of lawn surrounding the barns are beautifully maintained, while the remainder of the land is cultivated by a farm family. The grounds surrounding the barns and a large parking area are included with the rental of the barns. Gardens, a pond, and an Aspen tree grove punctuate the gracious and extensive lawn. There is ample space as well for a tent of any proportion in a designated location near the barns.
